| Résumé | Professor Norman Davies presents the history of a Middle European city - Wroclaw as a particular example of the general history of the middle Europe through the centuries. Spinning a tale on the city he shows the most picturesque and interesting places : the Cathedral founded in the year 1000 by Polish king Boleslaw the Brave, the City Hall formed at the Czech's reign in XV century, the main Railway Station built by Germans in 1857 in Scottish Gothic style.
