Résumé	Le problème de la championne du saut en hauteur allemande Gretel Bergmann, principal candidat à la médaille d’or aux Jeux olympiques d’été de 1936, était qu’elle était juive. Pour l'empêcher de remporter une médaille, tout en apaisant les Américains qui menaçaient de boycotter si les athlètes juifs étaient exclus de la compétition, les nazis ont saboté son entraînement en faisant entrer dans l'équipe un cavalier inconnu, sauteur en hauteur, doté d'un grand secret. Le film, inspiré par l'histoire réelle, explore l'amitié ténue et la plus inhabituelle qui s'est développée entre ces deux étrangers qui se sont retrouvés unis dans des circonstances très difficiles. The problem for German high jumper Gretel Bergmann (played by award-winning Karoline Herfurth), a top contender for the gold medal at the 1936 Summer Olympic Games, was that she was Jewish. To prevent her from winning a medal, yet appease Americans threatening a boycott if Jewish athletes were barred from competing, the Nazis sabotaged her training by bringing an unknown rival high jumper with a big secret onto the team. The film, inspired by the real-life story, explores the tenuous and most unusual friendship that developed between these two outsiders who found themselves united by very difficult circumstances.
