| Résumé | Trente ans après la mort tragique de son père aux mains de Pinochet au Chili, le cinéaste rentre chez lui pour redécouvrir la mémoire de son père et soutenir la famille qui a tenté de l’oublier. Ce film lyrique et d’une beauté artistique est à la fois l’histoire personnelle d’un fils qui s’efforce de se connecter à la mémoire du père qu’il connaissait à peine, ainsi qu’une exploration de la façon dont la douleur de l’injustice se répercute à travers les générations d’une même famille et le pays du Chili. Thirty years after the tragic death of his father at the hands of Pinochet’s Chile, the filmmaker travels back home to rediscover the memory of his father and heal the family that tried to forget him. The lyrical and artistically beautiful film is both the personal story of a son striving to connect with the memory of the father he barely knew as well as an exploration of how the pain of injustice ripples through generations of one family and the country of Chile as a whole. The filmmaker proposes that confronting the ugly realities of life is a necessary step to healing. |
