Résumé	Lorsque la Seconde Guerre mondiale a éclaté en septembre 1939, trois cent mille Juifs ont fui la Pologne pour l'Union soviétique. En 1942, le gouvernement polonais en exil et les autorités soviétiques ont accepté d'autoriser l'émigration de 24 000 réfugiés, dont 1 000 enfants juifs (principalement des orphelins) et 800 adultes juifs. Initialement, ils ont été emmenés à Téhéran. De là, 861 enfants et 369 adultes furent amenés en Israël le 18 février 1943. Les enfants de Téhéran ont été le premier grand groupe de survivants de l'Holocauste à atteindre la Palestine depuis l'Europe occupée. L'histoire des enfants de Téhéran a été présentée comme une démonstration de l'esprit héroïque de survie du peuple juif pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. When the Second World War broke out in September, 1939, three hundred thousand Jews fled Poland for the Soviet Union. In 1942, the Polish government-in-exile, and the soviet authorities agreed to allow the emigration of 24,000 refugees,including 1,000 Jewish children (mostly orphans) and 800 Jewish adults. Initially, they were taken to Teheran. From there 861 children and 369 adults were brought to Israel on February 18, 1943. The children of Teheran was the first large group of Holocaust survivors to reach Palestine from occupied Europe. The story of the Children of Teheran was branded as a demonstration of the heroic spirit of survival of the Jewish people during the Second World War.
