Résumé	Un documentaire extraordinaire sur la découverte de soi et les identités conflictuelles dans la Pologne contemporaine. La religion de Pawel était le football, et il a vécu sa vie selon le code de la violence sur les terrasses de sa ville natale de Varsovie. Lorsqu'il découvre que sa famille était juive, c'est tout son monde qui est chamboulé : il épouse une femme orthodoxe et commence une nouvelle vie avec une jeune famille en tant que juif orthodoxe strict. Il n'ose pas retourner au stade qu'il aime et se sent isolé, à la fois en tant que Juif au sein de la petite communauté de Varsovie et en tant que Polonais forcé de laisser derrière lui des amis pour qui la haine des minorités est un article de foi. He dares not go back to the stadium he loves, and feels isolated, both as a Jew within Warsaw’s tiny community and as a Pole forced to leave behind friends for whom hatred of minorities is an article of faith. With thoughtful, reflective direction from Michael Tkaczy?ski and a lyrical thread from provocative poet Marcin ?wietlicki, The Moon is Jewish is an intimate, insightful film about how hard it is to reconcile the parts of ourselves that sometimes just won’ t fit together.
