Résumé	Dans le quartier Heights de New York, les Juifs et les Dominicains vivent côte à côte mais interagissent rarement. Elle enrôle des adolescents juifs et dominicains pour une comédie musicale sur un moment où leurs histoires culturelles se chevauchent, le sauvetage en temps de guerre de 800 Juifs. In the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City, Jews and Dominicans live side by side but rarely interact. That changes with the arrival of Elizabeth Swados, a writer, composer, musician and theatrical director who is perhaps best known for her Tony-nominated musical Runaways. She enlists Jewish and Dominican teens to perform a musical about a moment when their cultural histories overlapped, the wartime rescue of 800 Jews by Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo. A murderous strongman, Trujillo nonetheless took in Jewish refugees, who launched new lives in Sosúa. This film artfully interweaves rare archival photos, an important yet little known part of history with newsreels and footage, and powerfully captures what happens when the Dominican and Jewish teens of contemporary Washington Heights bring their hearts and talents together.
