Résumé	Jérusalem, 1966 - l'année avant la guerre des Six Jours. Au troisième étage d'un vieux bâtiment en ruine dans le centre de la ville vit une petite famille. Eli, le père est au travail toute la journée. Sa femme, Ruthy, est enfermé dans son propre monde et passe ses journées au lit en lisant d'épais romans. Michal, leur fille de 11 ans, est seule et s'ennuie. Elle recherche l'attention des autres locataires de l'immeuble. Cependant, un jour, quand Ruthy décide de sortir du lit, la paix et la sérénité apparente de la maison ne va pas durer. On the third floor of a crumbling old building in the center of the city lives a small family. Eli, the father is at work all day. His wife, Ruthy, is locked up in her own world and spends her days in bed reading the thick novels that her husband brings her from the library. Michal, their 11-year old daughter, is lonely and bored and seeks attention from the other tenants in the building. However one day, when Ruthy decides to get out of bed, the apparent peace and serenity of the house is violated.
