Né à New York en 1915 issu d'une famille d'immigrants d'origine juive polonaise, Miller a écrit sa première pièce à l'université, et a rapidement gravi les échelons pour devenir un acteur connu de Broadway. Reconnu comme un grand dramaturge américain, Miller a décuplé sa notoriété lorsqu'il a épousé Marilyn Monroe à Hollywood.. This documentary presents a portrait of a writer and creator who left an indelible mark on the world today. Torn between glamour, success, social criticism and love, Miller’s biography is intimately connected to the great themes of the century. Born in New York in early 1900s to an immigrant family of Polish Jewish descent, Miller wrote his first play in college, and quickly rose to become a significant player on the Broadway scene. Established as a great American dramatist, Miller rose to fame with his marriage to Hollywood starlet, Marilyn Monroe, and the two emerged as the quintessential Hollywood couple. |
