Résumé	Le réalisateur Effi Banay retourne dans son quartier d'enfance, Kfar Shalem, d'où il est parti il y a quelques années à la suite d'une bataille contre l'évacuation par les autorités. Il est confronté à ses anciens voisins, à qui l'on n'a offert aucune compensation pour leurs maisons, et aux résidents palestiniens qui ont été évacués du village en 1948. Il poursuit son voyage aux racines de sa famille et à l'histoire de sa mère qui a immigré d'un village d'Ispahan, en Iran, dans un village qu'elle croyait être une copie conforme de l'ancien. Elle a continué à désirer ardemment sa maison jusqu'au jour de sa mort. Director Effi Banay returns to his childhood neighborhood, Kfar Shalem, from which he moved a few years ago in the aftermath of a battle against evacuation by the authorities. He is confronted by his former neighbors, who were offered no compensation for their homes - and by the Palestinian residents who were evacuated from the village in 1948. He continues his journey to the roots of his family and to the story of his mother who immigrated from a village in Isfahan, Iran, to a village she thought was a carbon copy of the old one. She continued to long for her home till the day she died.
