Résumé	Un homme est debout dans un bâtiment sombre vide. Il n'y a rien, juste lui, et 3 écrans. L'homme nous regarde. Il veut nous raconter une histoire. Sa propre histoire. L'histoire de sa vie. Une vie orageuse. Il a été meurtrier de masse pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il est surtout connu comme le commandant. Le commandant est un portrait d'un meurtrier de masse. Il soulève la question de savoir comment une personne ordinaire grandit pour devenir un meurtrier de masse, et la façon dont l'environnement et les événements ont corrompu sa personnalité et balayer les derniers vestiges d'humanité qui étaient en lui. Le commandant Rudolf Höss Franz Ferdinand, commandant du camp de concentration d'Auschwitz était directement responsable d'assassiner des millions de personnes. Le film tente d'enquêter sur le cours de sa vie, de son enfance jusqu'à sa nomination comme commandant d'Auschwitz et voir si des signes avant-coureurs pouvaient être décelés avant d'en arriver là? The story of his life. A stormy life. He was a mass murderer during World War II. He is best known as The Commandant. The Commandant is a portrait of a mass murderer in the making. It brings up the question of how an ordinary person grows up to become a mass murderer, and how the environment and the events that he grew up under corrupt his personality and peel away the last vestiges of humanity that were left in him. The Commandant is Rudolf Franz Ferdinand Höss, commandant of the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp, who was directly responsible for the murder of millions of people. The movie attempts to investigate the course of his life, from his early childhood until his appointed as commandant of Auschwitz, and see if the signs could have been discerned in advance.
