Résumé	Ephraïm Kishon est né à Budapest, en Hongrie, en août 1924, sous le nom de Franz Hofman. Il changea son nom pour celui de Franz Kishount et lorsqu’il immigra en Israël, en 1949, il hébraïsa son nom en Ephraïm Kishon. Il a étudié la sculpture et la peinture, à publier des essais pleins d'humour et écrit pour le théâtre hongrois. Il a commencé à publier en hébreu deux ans après son arrivée en Israël. En 1952 il rédige une rubrique dans le journal Ma'ariv. Cette rubrique consacrée en grande partie à la satire politique et sociale est devenue très vite populaire. Ce documentaire retrace sa vie de survivant, de mari et de père. Le réalisateur n'hésite pas à poser des questions inconfortables à la famille et aux amis. Ce documentaire est illustré d'archives photos et de dessins animés. Ephraim Kishon is Israel's best-known satirist, and his sharp eye and biting wit are unmatched to this day. Some 70 books of his have been published in 37 languages around the world, with 43 million copies sold in German-speaking countries. In Israel, My Family Right or Wrongis the bestselling book in Hebrew—second only to the Bible. Films based on Kishon's books have been nominated for two Oscars and three Golden Globe Awards. He was awarded the Israel Prize in 2002. This documentary is about the private Kishon—Shoah survivor, husband, father, resentful genius—and does not shy away from uncomfortable questions answered with astounding candor by family and friends.
